Bloemenveiling - Royal Flora Holland

De wereldberoemde en grootste bloemenveiling ter wereld is een wereld op zich. Het is indrukwekkend hoe groot Royal FloraHolland is, hoeveel miljoenen bloemen en planten er verhandeld worden en hoe deze op dezelfde dag nog bij de verkoper in de winkel staan, zodat jij een bloemetje voor jezelf of een ander kan kopen. Ben je van plan de bloemenveiling in Aalsmeer op eigen houtje te bezoeken? Dan is het handig om dit te weten.

Je moet vroeg je bed uit, want de bloemenveiling is van maandag tot en met vrijdag van 07:00 uur tot 11:00 uur geopend. Alleen op donderdag sluiten de deuren eerder, namelijk om 09:00 uur. Hoe eerder je binnen bent, hoe meer je van het hele veilproces ziet. Een kaartje hoef (en kan) je niet van te voren te kopen. Dit doe je bij aankomst in het bezoekerscentrum die je naast de hoofdingang vindt. Een kaartje kost €8,00 per persoon en €5,00 voor kinderen tot en met 11 jaar.

Aalsmeer Combi ticket

his ticket gives you entrance to Aalsmeer's three tourist highlights, all in one day:

• From 07.00 am: visit the flower auction and stroll around on your own (lasts about 1½ hours).
• From 10.00 am: visit the Historic Garden. See living history in 13,000 m² of Aalsmeer.
• At 11.00, 13.30 or 15.00 hrs: board a 'Westeinder Rondvaart' boat for a tour of discovery of the Westeinderplassen (lasts about 1 hour).

The boat and the historical garden are located in the centre of Aalsmeer, next to each other.

Bus 357 (towards Aalsmeer) stops practically in front of the door to Royal FloraHolland. It takes just 6 minutes to reach the Hortensiaplein. From there, you can wander towards the centre of Aalsmeer (10 minutes) or take a bus heading towards the centre of Aalsmeer (several buses) and get off after one stop.

FloriHolland and FloriWorld

First visit the flower auction and then FloriWorld. FloriWorld is on the same site and can be reached on foot. At FloriWold you will experience the magic of flowers and plants in an interactive experience.

The floriculture marketplace can be easily reached by car via motorway A4 (exit Aalsmeer/Hoofddorp), N201 and N231. Parking is free for visitors (roof parking P23).

Once you arrive at Royal FloraHolland drive past the round security building and turn right. You will see one road that goes to the roof of the building. Take this road. Keep left and park at the front. Go to the white staircase P20 and take the lift down. Follow the signs 'Tourist'.
